TECHNOLOGY: How to watch Sony’s E3 press conference live, and what we expect

Sony had a strong showing at last year's E3 with its announcement of the PS4 and digs at Microsoft. Hopefully the company can keep up the momentum this year with more game-changing announcements and (mostly) playful competition. You won't want to miss a minute so here is how you can watch the Sony press conference live from home.

Note: We'll routinely update this page to reflect announcements and information.

What we hope to see

The Order: 1886

Sony is rumored to show an on-stage demo of The Order: 1886 for PS4. Whether or not that is the case, the company has confirmed it will discuss the game. The Order takes place in an altered Victorian-London where an order of knights has developed advanced technologies to defeat ancient monsters. Until now, Sony has released a lot of background footage and images on their website, so E3 might mark the reveal of a release date and official trailer.

Uncharted 4

Uncharted 4 has been surrounded by controversy after the departure of director, Justin Richmond and writer, Amy Henning. Hope swept through hearts of fans everywhere when The Last of Us directors, Neil Druckman and Bruce Staley joined the team. Not much has been revealed about gameplay or storyline but Sony has confirmed it will be discussed at the conference. Fans could also get an update on the live-action Uncharted film, which was announced earlier this year.

Rime

Sony has confirmed it will show Rime. Not much is known about this game developed by Tequila Works, but it follows a young boy who must figure out how to survive on a magical island. Rime features open-world gameplay that consists of solving puzzles to learn about the new world you are put into. The first trailer of the game was shown at Sony's Gamescome 2013, but it was only a trailer. We might finally get a demo or release date on Monday.

Kill Strain

Since the release of the PS4, there hasn't been much exclusive content for the console. Sony might use this year's E3 to change that with Kill Strain, a PS4 reboot of Syphon Filter. Filter is known as one of the best games in the stealth genre, and Kill Strain should be nothing less.

God of War 4

There has been talk about a God of War 4 teaser being presented. God of War: Ascension  featured the same gameplay as its predecessors but the story line was lacking and bland. Hopefully the newest installment can make up for it and carry on the saga.

Gran Turismo 7

Gran Turismo 7: The Prologue might act as repackage of Gran Turismo 6 for PS4. GT6 had the same appealing graphics and movement of GT5 but some said it lacked personality. GT7 might be Sony's chance to repackage the game for a new audience on the PS4.

The Last Guardian

The Internet has already been talking about the possibility of an announcement regarding The Last Guardian, which has been in development since 2007. This game comes from Fumito Ueda, the director of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, two incredibly acclaimed PS2 titles. It's been in the works so long that Sony will likely have to reintroduce it. The company has managed to keep a pretty tight lid on information regarding Guardian, so it's anyone's guess if it will finally come to light in the coming week, but we remain hopeful.
