GAMING: How to watch Ubisoft’s E3 press conference live, and what we expect

Ubisoft is showing no signs of slowing down, coming off the release of the hugely popular Watch Dogs, and diving headfirst into the newest titles in the Far Cry and Assassin's Creed series. With late 2014 releases scheduled for both games, it's about time we start getting some substantial details, and hopefully some new video. Below is what you need to watch live, and some of our most anticipated Ubisoft games right now.

Note: We'll routinely update this page with new announcements and information.

How to watch Ubisoft's E3 press conference live

Time: Monday, 6-9-2014 at 3:00 p.m. PT

Streaming sites: YouTube and Twitch.tv

What games we hope to see

Assassin's Creed Unity

What do we know about the new Assassin's Creed game for the new consoles? Not a whole lot, besides that the story takes place in Paris during the French Revolution. After leaked screenshots popped up showing off the Parisian setting, Ubisoft released a short teaser trailer confirming the rumors, but it lacked any information about gameplay. There's some speculation that, given the time frame of Assassin's Creed 3 and 4, one of the Kenways may make an appearance, or be the protagonist of the new game, but nothing has been confirmed.

Far Cry 4

The newest addition to the series takes players up into the Himalayan mountains, taking the island setting of the earlier games and flipping it on its head. This new wilderness setting should add many challenges and new story opportunities. All that's been advertised so far is a small collection of promotional art, the locale, and that the character pictured in the header of this article isn't the player. Rumors have been swirling for weeks that the game may include a wide breadth of wildlife and crafting opportunities, and some have mused that there may be monsters in the mountains. Whether you can ride elephants or not, Ubisoft will definitely spill the beans about the new game at E3.

Tom Clancy's The Division

The recently delayed Division places players into a hostile New York just weeks after a flu pandemic has caused massive panic and destruction. The online shooter incorporates RPG elements like loot and skill charts, and will encourage teamwork and intense strategy with other players online. Like every Tom Clancy game, The Division will also focus on realism, both in style and gameplay mechanics. The game exists in a playable state with a good feature set, and is built on Ubisoft's Snowdrop engine for incredible graphical performance.

Assassin's Creed 'Comet'

Sometimes developers try and release one game for both the current generation (Xbox One and PS4) and previous generation (Xbox 360 and PS3) and risk compromising an experience on one platform. Ubisoft may avoid this pitfall by releasing a different game for both generations. Assassin's Creed Unity may come to the new systems and the Xbox 360 and PS3 owners may get'Comet.' The rumors around this game include the chance to play as a Templar, the series' tradition antagonists, and that 18th-century New York may be a visitable location. While Ubisoft has kept quiet about the existence of the title, it's reasonable to expect that it's release would fall in line with Unity, so we may hear more at E3 about whether Comet is even real.

Valiant Hearts: The Great War

A distinct departure from the other games Ubisoft is bringing to E3, Valiant Hearts follows a number of characters through a puzzle adventure set against the backdrop of the first world war. Rather than fighting and shooting your way through, the game instead deals with the emotional and physical stress that goes along with war, and is built on the same UbiArt engine that was used for the Rayman games. It's available as a digital download later this month, so the final version of the game will probably be along with Ubisoft in some capacity for players to try.

Watch Dogs DLC

With the first digital trip DLC already available for Ubisoft's open-world hacking game, it wouldn't surprise us to hear some details regarding more upcoming content. For just $5, you can add Conspiracy to your list of digitally-induced mini games, or you can pick up the season pass for $20. The DLC offerings for the Watch Dogs season pass include a new single-player campaign, extra missions for protagonist Aiden Pearce, and a 1920s-inspired mobster outfit.

The Crew

Ubisoft showed off its online racing game The Crew at E3 in 2013, and is still billing it as an upcoming game. The online elements are at the core of the game, encouraging players to form crews and race other drivers on iconic locations across the United States of America. There's also a wide variety of customization options, from performance to cosmetic, and surely you'll gain cred with other players online for having the coolest spoilers and slickest paint job.

Prince of Persia

We haven't heard from Ubisoft about the Prince of Persia series since a mysterious brawler-reboot codenamed Zero popped up, but it was shelved in early 2013 for brand management reasons. Recently, an Ubisoft employee tweeted a picture with a series of Prince of Persia versions, and a question mark asking what was next for the series. Normally, this wouldn't ring any alarms, but Ubisoft responded quickly, forcing the employee to delete his twitter account and remove the image. Chances are that Ubisoft won't say anything explicit about another Prince of Persia game, but it wouldn't surprise us to see a teaser pop up at some point.
