BASKETBALL NBA Finals: San Antonio Spurs Crush Heat in Landmark Game Three

San Antonio has showed the basketball world what they are capable of when they flash their full potential and finish games, but that's not all we learned from an indicative third game of this NBA Finals series.

Miami was defeated very early on when they went down by 25 points in the first half with their opponents on pace to score just under 200 points.

Getting back within seven was the closest thing to a comeback that the Heat could form, but check the facts: Miami was never truly in this game, leading to a blowout marked 111-92.

Several Spurs players stepped up hugely for the team, but no one did this better than King Leon.

Up against Lebron James, Leonard proved he could play at the highest level in the sport and come away with substantial production. Give him a ton of credit.

The biggest lesson in this game actually made all the difference in the outcome of the game itself. Wearing black and white was a team, while players of the Heat all played as individuals.

That is a major indication of how Miami performs in pressure situations. Another observation: did anyone else notice how much complaining Lebron James did after every play?

I'd say this was one of his worst on-court performances, but he made it worse by complaining to the officials after every call.

Even worse, there were multiple times when he stood ball-watching rather than playing defense.

Plenty of lessons to be learned, but the most pressing issue is over how the Heat can recover and learn to play as a team.
