Nollywood sensation Alexx Ekubo is the Favourite Male African International Emerging Screen Talent 2014 according to the just ended 9th Annual Screen Nation Film & Television Awards held in London yesterday Sunday, Feb. 23.
The actor beat down heavyweights, Chris Attoh (Ghana), O.C Ukeje (Nigeria), Joseph Benjamin (Nigeria), Anthony Monjaro (Nigeria) and Femi Jacobs (Nigeria) to take the prize.
Alexx immediately took to his social media accounts to thank his fans who voted for him. "Words are not enough to describe how I feel right now. to every single person that voted and conpaigned, god bless you immensely as you have believed in me."
It should be recounted that the "Weekend Getaway" actor won his first ever award at the Best Of Nollywood Awards last year as Most Promising Act Male for his phenomenal role in the film, In The Cupboard also starring Uti Nwachukwu and Ini Edo.
This year's ceremony took place at the Pak Plaza Riverbank, Albert Embankment, London hosted by popular stand up comedian Ali Baba and United States based movie actress, Caroline Chikezie.
