Along Lagos-Ibadan Express Way
Vandals struck again today, January, 19, at the Oil pipeline belonging to the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, (NNPC) along the Lagos-Ibadan express way near Arepo.
The Public Information Officer, National Emergency Management Agency, (NEMA), Mr. Farinloye Ibrahim hinted that, "NEMA was alerted and subsequently informed NNPC on the development after long cessation of their activities."
Farinloye said, "The pipeline exploded as a result of their activities and there is heavy fire balls from the scene.
NNPC and other agencies are expected to converge at the scene tomorrow morning (Monday, January 20) to assess measures to put out the fire."
