Kimberley Walsh is pregnant with her first child

Former Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh has revealed she is expecting her first child with boyfriend Justin Scott.

Walsh, tweeted: "Justin and I are so happy to let you all know we are having a baby!!!

"Couldn't wait to share our lovely news with you all."

Her ex-bandmate Cheryl Cole was among the first to respond, saying: "FINALLY, I thought at one point I was going to burst."

Walsh had 21 top ten singles as part of Girls Aloud, before the group broke up last year following the last night of their 10-year celebration tour.

They also had two UK number one albums and received five Brit Awards nominations, winning best single in 2009 for The Promise.

Justin Scott is a former member of boy band Triple 8, who had two top ten singles in 2003.
