TOP NEWS: How to watch the WWDC 2014 live stream whether you have an Apple device or not

Though Apple will be kicking off the latest edition of WWDC in just minutes from now, most of the people who will be paying attention to the event won't be attending it. What makes tracking the news that comes out of WWDC 14 difficult is the fact that Apple only makes live streams for the conference available only to those who own Apple hardware. So if you own an Apple device like a MacBook or an iPad, great for you. But what if you don't? Luckily, there are still a few places where you can watch WWDC 14 unfold, even if you lack Apple gear. That's what we're here for!

With that in mind, here's how to watch the WWDC 2014 live stream. You can also check out our full slate of WWDC 14 coverage site-wide here, which includes news that has broken in the lead-up to the show, rumors, and more.

Twitch.tv

A Twitch.tv user dubbed "Sawy7″ is running a stream of WWDC 14. We have embedded it below for your convenience. To watch it, just click play!

Justin.tv

A channel on Justin.tv, the popular streaming service, is also running its own stream of WWDC 14. If you have a preference for Justin.tv for whatever reason, or the stream on Twitch.tv goes down or is iffy, here's an alternative for you to watch. As is the case with the Twitch.tv stream, all you need to do to watch is hit play.

Alternatively, this UStream broadcoast from TWiT will consist of a round-table discussion surrounding the announcements that occur during WWDC 14.

Apple

Of course, if you own Apple hardware, you're ahead of the game. You can watch the WWDC 14 live stream directly from Apple.com. Apple requires that you use OS X 10.6 or later, Safari on iOS 4.2 or later, or a second-generation (or later) Apple TV with software version 5.0.2 or later. Remember, if one stream goes down, you can always lean on one of the others.
