Authorities of University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), on Saturday, said the institution's second semester of 2013/2014 academic year would commence on June 9.
The information is contained in a circular issued by the university's Registrar, Malam Babagana Aji, in Maiduguri. The circular quoted Aji as saying that second semester
examinations for Education, Engineering, Law and General Studies would begin on Sept. 1, while all courses would begin on Monday, Sept. 15.
Aji stated that the second semester would end on Tuesday, Sept. 30, while the 2013/2014 academic session would wind up on Sunday, Oct. 12.
"Students are therefore advised to note that lectures will commence immediately and should comply by attending their lectures accordingly," he added.
