From the street to the pulpit
If you could recall, one of the best rappers of all times, Mase, born Mason Durell Betha, suddenly got the call and decided to drop the mic and become the mouthpiece of God some years ago.
He practically left the street and became a vessel for God to use. Now he has come out to say that the late King of Pop Music, Michael Jackson, would still be alive today if he was given the chance to counsel him.
Michael Jackson's life was blighted with allegations of drug addiction, financial woes and child abuse before his tragic death in 2009.
But the hip hop star-turned preacher who now runs El Elyon International Church in Atlanta, believes that his street credibility is helping him bring many rappers to Christ, and he could have done the same for Jackson.
Being a prophet is not much different than being a rapper.
They're just serving a different master. In rap, you serve the devil and the money, and things are your god.
What do you think of Pastor Mase?
