Oprah and Toni Braxton make up after 16 years of feuding.
TV mogul Oprah Winfrey and Grammy winner Toni Braxton have finally squashed their feud of almost 16 years and now planning to create a new movie together for Oprah's OWN Network.
The last time we heard the soulful singer talk about Lady O, it was during a Behind The Music special where she called Oprah "mean" and said the former talk show host tried to embarrass her when she was a guest on her show in 1998. That incident reportedly and ultimately derailed her career.
Toni claimed Oprah attempted to embarrass her by bringing up her financial problems on her show.
«"She was so frickin' mean to me, I was in shock. I couldn't believe it because I loved her so much…She pretty much reprimanded me. She says to me, 'I heard you have Gucci flatware. I'm Oprah Winfrey and even I don't have Gucci flatware."
Apparently, that's all in the past and all has been forgiven because Toni is about to star in an OWN movie! (side pic)
According to NecoleBitchie, The two took to the stage together Sunday, during an OWN Upfront, as they announced plans for the new project titled, "My Name is Love: The Darlene Love Story.' A story of one of the 1960's iconic musical voices, Darlene Love. Love began cutting records for producer Phil Spector right out of high school, and went on to work with some of the greatest musical talents in history, including Elvis Presley, Aretha Franklin, Frank Sinatra and Bruce Springsteen.
The film is Executive produced by Oprah Winfrey and Academy Award-winning filmmaker Morgan Neville (Twenty Feet From Stardom)
