An Engineering graduate of Ekiti State University identified as Sunday Omotayo yesterday In Uyo, Akwa Ibom State jumped off a speeding Toyota Hiace bus in an attempt to end his life.
It was gathered that prior to this , Sunday had gone to the Prison Service asking the Warders to either shoot him to death or throw him inside the prison saying he was tired of living.
A news reporter at the scene of the incident , said that Sunday was heard muttering that there is no state in Nigeria he has not gone to in search of a job all to no avail which informed his decision to end his life.
According to Sunday, he came to Akwa Ibom after hearing of the uncommon transformation agenda of the Akpabio's administration only to find out that the situation in Akwa ibom state is no different from other states he had been to.
Many sources have expressed their concern over unemployment issue in the country. The issue of unemployment in Nigeria is one that the government has no immediate solution to; graduates should better equip themselves with valuable skills and knowledge outside what they had studied in school in other to be gainfully engaged after graduation.
