Bryan Singer Reveals Important Details about Link between “X-Men: Days of Future Past” and “X-Men: Apocalypse”

The upcoming film "X-Men: Days of Future Past" is a follow-up to the previously released film "X-Men: First Class" and is likely to show the current trilogy cast with a time-travel storyline. Bryan Singer has helmed the next X-Men project after his last X-Men 2 launch in 2003.

Bryan is also recently working on "X-Men: Apocalypse" (which is follow up of X-Men: Days of Future Past) while also completing promotional campaigns for Days of Future Past. Bryan has told that Apocalypse is a sequel to both previous films and includes the era of 80s rather than the '70s or '60s like other two films.

Bryan goes over some new Apocalypse details like how the movie is set to demonstrate "ancient mutancY" – by considering how earliest civilizations recognized mutants with super-powers. He said he is looking forward to present fan-favorites like Gambit and Nightcrawler, who could not make their place in Days of Future Past.

Singer also elaborated his earliER statements about Days of Future Past's link with Apocalypse, like when previously had said that the events in Days of Future Past will lead to the events in Apocalypse. In this regard, he currently said this in an interView:

"You won't feel at the end of the movie that it set up Apocalypse. What it does is it sets up possibilities. But what we'll discover in Apocalypse is that events in this movie made that happen."

Optimistically, if we analyze his statement, what he is describing is that Days of Future Past is enjoyable as a separate watching experience, plus providing the base for the next chapter in a continuing story. Certainly, if everything goes fine in Days of Future Past, it could lead to an evenly excellent story in Apocalypse.

Bryan has further revealed that Apocalypse's story, which screenwriters Dan Harris AND Mike Dougherty are assisting to compose, will be fairly derived from the well-known 1990s Age of Apocalypse comic book. However, he stressed that both movie will have major disparities between them.

Through trailer of Days of Future Past, we see that the film is likely to give an extensive image of a dystopian future, where mutants are at the edge of complete extermination and worldwide human race has been greatly ruined in the process. Hugh Jackman had earlier said that the film is so huge in scale, it's like watching 3 films in 1.
