SCANDAL p!!! Yoruba Actor Ganiyu Oyeyemi Arrested For Raping His Daughter's Friend

In what is becoming a recurring decimal, another big player in the entertainment industry, Ganiyu Oyeyemi, a top Nollywood actor of the Yoruba sector, has been arrested by the police in Oshogbo, Osun State, South West Nigeria, for allegedly raping his daughter's friend.

The actor who is popularly known as Ogunjimi, is currently in police custody as the police did not care about his status in the society but slammed him in their cell.

Ogunjimi, known mostly for playing fierce roles in Yoruba movies, according police statement made available to newsmen, was said to have been responsible for the upkeep of the victim and her mother who until recently, lived with him in his Oshogbo residence. The mother of the victim, we gather, travelled to Lagos and left the young girl with the actor who decided to have carnal knowledge of the girl who is his daughter's best friend and age mate.

The poor girl, who is 22 years old, could not take the shame of being raped by a man she calls 'Daddy', and reported the matter to the police. The police swooped on the actor and arrested him after medical reports on the girl proved that she had actually been raped. He is being detained at the SCID, Oshogbo.

This is the second case of rape involving Nigerian celebrities after Fuji singer, Abass Akande Obesere was also arrested for raping a lady in his house few weeks ago.

What could be the cause of these incessant rape cases?
