Actor got pissed with the site's misuse of Harriet Tubman as a poverty-stricken woman on their homepage.
Google uses Civil Right activist Harriet Tubman to celebrate Black History Month. Pissed off Nick Cannon!
Nick Cannon post blasting Google's Harriet Tubman Doodle
Harriet Tubman - See the scarf please!
Mariah Carey's husband, Nick Cannon is not so pleased with internet giant, Google because he thinks they insulted black history by putting up Civil Rights advocate, Harriet Tubman as a wretched beggar on their Homepage.
Well, if you are still lost, let me explain: You know how Google does those doodle pics on their Homepage (see it above)? The thing is, on February 1, the first day of Black History Month, the doodle featured Civil Rights era abolitionist Harriet Tubman. Please tell me that you know who she is…Underground Railroad? She led a multitude of slaves to freedom? Yeah her.
It could have been a way for Google to honor the hero but here's the thing that apparently pissed Nick off. In the picture, where Tubman is shown carrying a lantern, she is also wearing a rag and that's what raised the hairs on Nick's arms and he says, its bullsh*t! Meaning 'Black heros need to be respected for what they did and should be portrayed in that manner!'. He hashtagged the doodle, "RacistMuch"
Now I ask you, have you ever seen a photo of Harriet Tubman where she was not actually wearing a rag on her head?
