A Fuel Tanker Laden With 40,000 Litres of PMS Has Gutted Fire Near the National Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos.
The Public Information Officer, National Emergency Management Agency, (NEMA), Mr. Farinloye Ibrahim disclosed to Daily Times that three other tankers are engulfed in the inferno.
The Public Information Officer, National Emergency Management Agency, (NEMA), Mr. Farinloye Ibrahim has hinted Daily Times that the fuel tanker laden with 40,000 litres of PMS that gutted fire near the National Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos affecting three other tankers has been brought under control.
He said, "Two tankers totally burnt down while the third is partially affected. The cause of the inferno was that, they were trying to trans-load from one tanker to the other, which should have involved the presence of fire men to be on stand-by in case of situation like this but they did not call in any fire men."
Farinloye said, there was no injury or casualty recorded.
