The eagerly anticipated Guaranty Trust Bank End of the Year party held last night, and it lived up to the bar, except for one minor flop: Wizkid. Social media was littered by fans who complained about the Star Boy artiste's performance, who were disappointed because the organizers had saved the best for the last.
Wizkid had come on stage in a stoned state, clearly not in the right frame of mind to perform, with fans saying he did "more talking than singing", and that "people stopped dancing when he came on".
The other performers were on point with the likes of Flavour, Wande Coal, and Olamide giving the crowd a swell time, up until Wizkid came up. The
organizers were obviously not pleased with Wizzy's performance, and the Star Boy reportedly worsening matters by getting in a fight back stage with Wande
Coal.
There seems to be a lot going on in Wizkid's life at the moment, as many blogs report he has broken up with girlfriend Tani Omotayo, and last night's horrible episode may be in some way related to it. Whatever it is, we hope he gets his act together, and soon.
