Liverpool FC captain stars in Adidas advert ahead of Anfield goodbye

Farewell to a legend (via Adidas)

Steven Gerrard has filmed an emotional advert with Adidas ahead of his Anfield farewell on Saturday evening.

Gerrard will run out at Anfield as a Liverpool player for the last time against Crystal Palace ahead of his move to Major League Soccer this summer.

And sponsors Adidas have shot a video with the Reds captain - entitled Farewell to a Legend - in which Gerrard discusses his emotions in leaving Liverpool.

He says: You always remember your first, but no one ever talks about their last.

"The last time you lace up your boots, the last time you walk out the tunnel, the last time you celebrate with your fans.

"I've always given everything, every season, every game, every minute. I'll do that one last time."
